Flying Stars 2015

Every year, the cosmos align themselves into different positions and causes changes in energy on Earth. Hence, by using the ancient Chinese technique of metaphysics, scholars have formulated a movement chart of energies called the “Flying Star Chart”.

Flying stars (飞星) are described in Feng Shui as a body of energy (Qi) moving into different sectors of our living environment. This Feng Shui formula is a very potent way of calculating planetary movements of energies from year to year. By understanding how the energies flow, we are able to manipulate and enhance positive chi and helps us take precautions against negative afflictions.

Date Selection

Chinese Almanac

Since ancient times, the planetary movements and astronomical phenomena has remained to be one of the most mystical study. However, it did not deterred human beings from exploring them. With this information, the ancient Mayan and other civilizations developed elaborate calendar system.

Today, the Chinese Almanac or Tong Shu remains one of the most ancient texts used by Asians. Many of us rely on the Chinese Almanac for calendar information to do a date selection. Although, some people may feel that it is "superstitious" others rely heavily whenever an important activity is to be carried out.

In Chinese Metaphysics philosophy , the concept of the cosmic trinity is influenced by three factors, Heaven Luck, Earth Luck and Man Luck. Heaven Luck refers to the planetary positions in the universe while Earth Luck refers to your landscape and home environment. Lastly, Man Luck refers to the birthchart of the individual. The synergy of the three types of information, can provide accurate predictions of a person’s life or the outcome of an activity. Thus, the Chinese Almanac is an indispensable text in every household since ancient times.

In Chinese Metaphysics practice, it is strongly believed that a good date selection can influence the outcome of an activity, this is because whenever an activity is carried out during the most beneficial energy patterns, with the right people at the right place, the synchronicity will result in a most likely favorable outcome. So before, you commence any important activities like starting a new business, signing an important contract or even planning your wedding or moving into a new house, please consult an expert for a Date Selection to ensure success in all your endeavours.

2013 - Water Snake Year

Greetings from New Age FSG!

We have now sizzled into 2013, the Water Snake Year. According to Classical Feng Shui, the clashes of the Yin Water year with the Fire snake makes this an inauspicious year.

It is also observed that all the planets reside back to its original position according to the Flying Stars Formula. This translates to double impact in all the sectors of the home. So if you are moving into a new home or doing any renovation to your home, please consult the experts before any renovation as this translates to activating the energies in the different sector of your home.

As a precaution, take note of the Sickness star 2 (二黑) in the Southwest Sector and the Total Loss star 5 (五黄) in the centre of the house. These two inauspicious stars can bring about severe losses or great misfortune if activated untimely. The same effect can be expected at the West sector as the Robbery star 7 (七赤) resides there this year. As the name suggest, loss of wealth or even stained reputation can be expected if you are affected by this inauspicious star. Similarly in the East, resides the Quarrelsome star 3 (三碧). This sector will bring about rumours, back-stabbing and even lawsuits if activated untimely.

However, not all is lost as the North, South, and Northeast sectors will experience tremendous good fortune when activated timely. The Auspicious Star 1 and 8 sits in the North and Northeast sector respectively this year, this brings about lots of windfall luck to the home. However, as the San Sha (三煞) sits in the Northeast/East direction this year, the Northeast star 8 is not as potent as Star 9 in the South. Activate the South sector if you want recognition luck or even a get promotion this year! This will bring about increased income as well.

Although the Scholastic and Romance star is in the Southeast sector this year, please avoid activation between 142-157 degrees as the Grand Duke of Jupiter or Tai Sui (太岁) resides in this sector this year. Due to its overwhelming energies from this sector, tension and confusion may result. Thus, it is more advisable to avoid this sector to avoid any tension in your relationship or if you are pursuing any scholastic advancement.

Last but not least, if you are born under the Chinese Zodiac Animal Year of the Tiger, Monkey or Snake, please take precaution when travelling and avoid making big investments as the year may be met with more obstacles due to the unfavourable planetary positions. People born between 4 Feb - 5 Mar, 5 May - 4 June and 7 Aug - 6 Sept should also take precaution when making big decisions. A word of advice, please consult the experts before attempting to enhance or remedy your own feng shui.

The Power of Colour

Credit: Google Image

Every substance on earth contains colour and every colour has a different impact on us. The rays from the sun contain seven different colours - violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange and red. These are natural colours which are highly beneficial to the maintenance of health and for healing diseases.

The colour wheel describes the relationship between colours. Primary Colours (red, yellow, and blue) are the base on which all other colours come from. When you mix two primary colours together, 50% of one primary colour and 50% of another primary colour you get a Secondary Colour (orange, violet, and green). A Tertiary Colour is created when you combine a primary colour with a secondary colour. This colour experience provides the opportunity to discover for yourself, the impact colours can have on your well-being. The need for a particular colour's vibration seems to differ from day to day. When you absorb a colour vibration it travels, via the nervous system, to the part of the body that needs it.

I-Ching Coin Divination

Since ancient time, scholars and sages have long embraced the concept of change. Change is natural and inevitable in life. When we resist change, we cause stagnation. However, with any change comes a certain amount of uncertainty. So for many centuries, the Chinese depended on divination when making important decision. One of the oldest system of divination is the I-Ching.

I-Ching is one of the most important and respectful works of Chinese philosophers. It is also known as the book of changes and is considered one of the oldest Chinese divination. It is a divination system comparable to Western Geomancy and has been described as a science of divination, grounded in mathematics. According to ancient text, the I-Ching was devised by a legendary Chinese Sage named Fu Xi. He was credited for his study of Chinese classical philosophy based on the dual cosmic principles of yin and yang which predicts the outcome of a given situation by interpretation of 64 hexagrams. Each hexagram composed of two groups of three lines which are either broken or solid. The 64 Hexagrams reflected 64 individual situations in the I-Ching which is indicated by a symbol of six lines. The broken line represents Yin while the unbroken line represents the Yang. This complex study of the hexagrams was later applied on a few methods of divination, namely using the dice, rice, beads and coins. These methods are completely compatible with any spiritual belief and have been practised for many centuries. One of the most popular methods used to foretell events is the Five Coins Divination.

The 5 coins divination has 32 different combinations with each combination foretelling a person’s job, relationship, finance, health and personal growth. For this method, ancient Chinese coins are used. The quality of the coins used is very important and reproduction coins should be avoided as it harnesses no psychic links to its users.

Divination using coins is a personal event; users are closely aligned to their own set of coins and often have to spend many hours holding them in order to form a strong psychic connection.

To perform this divination, manifest your question, concentrate and shake the coins in your hands and throw out the results. Repeat this process again with every other coin and line them up from left to right in sequence of the 1st throw till the 5th throw. It is believed that this divination is very accurate as long as you are grounded and have a clear mind.

Laughing Buddha

The Laughing Buddha, also known as the Maitreya Buddha in Buddhism is believed to be the future Buddha. The Sankrit word “Maitri” means kindness, love, benevolence and goodwill. In some ancient Buddhist scriptures like Mahayana and Vajrayana, it is believed that the Maitreya is the successor to Sakyamuni Buddha and is referred to as the Future Buddha.

The Japanese believe that he is a mediator in relationships while the Koreans believe that the Maitreya will bestow them with good children. In Chinese culture, he is represented as the Laughing Buddha and is considered to be the ultimate symbol of happiness. Tradition says that such a monk by the name of Budai lived during the Liang Dynasty. Because of his large belly and generous smile he was called The Laughing Buddha. It is said that he was very generous and kindhearted too. He was always smiling or laughing, with a largely exposed pot belly stomach. It is said that his inner smile is so strong that it radiates throughout his entire face taking away all your unhappiness and problems immediately.

The Laughing Buddha is also a very popular Feng Shui Symbol, often used to generate good energy and add harmony to your home and office space. According to legend, if one rubs the Laughing Buddha's great belly, it will bring you good luck, wealth and prosperity. Likewise if you carry a Laughing Buddha pendant with you or when you are wearing one, you will receive such good fortune and wealth too.

In Flying Star Feng Shui, the Laughing Buddha can be used to mitigate the negative influence of the Illness star 2 and the Total Loss star 5.

The Illness Star brings sickness and ailments, while the Total Loss Star, instigates fights, accidents and loss of wealth or even death. The Laughing Buddha is also an excellent antidote for the Three Killings which brings misunderstandings, legal disputes, financial losses and even accidents. Placing the Laughing Buddha symbol in the affected sectors can dissolve all these negative energies.

Symbols of the Laughing Buddha make very good gifts as well. Giving the jade Laughing Buddha pendant would give its recipient a lucky start in life. Rub his fat belly every day and say a little prayer to let him transform all your troubles and problems into happiness and good fortune today!
